Dean T. Watkins, M.D., M.Ed.

Dr. Watkins joined The Woman's Clinic in 1970 and retired in 2003 after a 33 year career. In the fall of 2009, he returned to the Clinic to provide care for gynecology patients and to do counseling. A native of Emmett, Idaho, Dr. Watkins received his medical education and post graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Oregon Health Sciences University. He also earned a Masters of Education in counseling from the College of Idaho.

Dr. Watkins is married to Lillian and enjoys family time with his adult children and grandchildren. His interests include hiking, fishing, riding all-terrain vehicles, boating, gardening, golfing and reading.



Robert W. Davis, MD

Residency: Northwestern University
Board Certification: American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Davis began his practice at The Woman’s Clinic in 1979. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr Davis is on active staff at St. Luke’ Regional Medical Center where he served as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (1983-84) and member of the Ethics Committee (1988-1993).

Dr. Davis has a wife, Rita and children Brenna, Luke, Ben and Dan.



John M. Werdel, MD

Residency: University of Virginia
Board Certification: American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Werdel received his undergraduate degree at UNC - Chapel Hill, followed by medical school at East Carolina University School of Medicine. This included a rural medicine rotation in Papua, New Guinea, and a midwifery rotation in Ireland. Subspecialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology was at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Dr. Werdel is married and has three children. He is interested in multiple outdoor activities with his children, including coaching soccer, biking, skiing and water sports.

Timothy A. West, MD

Medical School: MD-University of Arizona
Residency: Good Samaritan Hospital
Board Certification: American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. West was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona. He completed his training at the University of Arizona and Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. He has spent time in Mexico and Honduras on medical mission projects, and has been with The Woman's Clinic since 1998.

Dr. West has four children who are a source of continued joy and wonderment.

B. Kerry Lowder, MD

Board Certification: American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Lowder was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He attended high school in Meridian and graduated from Brigham Young University. He lived in Japan for two years while working for a church mission. He finished medical school at the University of Washington, followed by residency in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has returned to the community which he enjoys and where he grew up.

Dr. Lowder's interests lie in obstetrics, infertility and surgery. He has been involved with medical research and is currently involved in several clinical medical trials.

He is married with five children, four girls and a boy. His hobbies include water skiing, snow skiing, flying, and wake boarding in the summer.

Necole Javernick-Hodges, MD

Residency: Washington Hospital Center, Washington D.C.
Board Certification: American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Javernick-Hodges was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. She completed her undergraduate degree at Boise State University and went on to medical school at the University of Washington, in Seattle. She completed her residency training program at The Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. and joined The Woman’s Clinic in August 2002.

She and her husband (Dr. Hodges) have been married for over ten years and are the proud parents of three daughters and one son. She enjoys spending time with her family as well as many outdoor activities such as snow and water skiing, swimming, and biking.

Bryan Hodges, MD

Undergraduate: BS-Biology Boise State University

Residency: Georgetown University
Board Certification: American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Hodges was raised in Boise, Idaho. He completed his undergraduate degree at Boise State University and continued on to medical school at the University of Washington-Seattle. He completed his residency training program at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and joined The Woman’s Clinic in August 2002.

He enjoys family time with his wife (Dr. Javernick-Hodges), son and three daughters. Hobbies include soccer, hiking, skiing, biking, good books, and movies.

R. Burke Archibald, MD

Undergraduate: BS-Business Administration University of Colorado at Boulder
Medical School: MD-University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
Residency: Kaiser Foundation Hospital
Board Certification: American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Archibald was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He received his Undergraduate Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his Residency Training at The Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Archibald joined The Woman’s Clinic in September of 2003. His interests include General Obstetrics and Gynecology, GYN-Surgery and Laparoscopy.

In addition to spending much of his free time with his wife and two children, you will find Dr. Archibald enjoying mountain biking, running, scuba diving and snow skiing.

Heidi Bendorf-Chasan, MD

Dr. Chasan joined the Woman’s Clinic in September, 2005. An Idaho native, she grew up in Bliss, Idaho and studied history and biology at College of Idaho. She completed medical school and specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Washington. Dr. Chasan and her husband have one daughter and enjoy biking, hiking and winter sports.
